Successful and expanding financial institution is looking add a new member to its London based QA and Tester team who are responsible for the QA, Performance Testing, Manual Testing and Automated Testing of a range of banking and finance applications covering Equities, Funds, Corporate Actions and Fixed Income / Bonds. With a considerable number of new projects planned there is the opportunity to build upon both Business and Technical skills in a positive, friendly environment.

 The QA and Testing team is responsible for many functions including;

  • Working directly with the business and IT teams
  • Ensuring IT projects meet business requirements
  • Creating Test Cases from requirements documents, Test Plans and Test Scripts
  • Production of Execution Reports
  • Ensure that software and QA standards are adhered to

 They are looking for an experienced QA Tester with a background in the QA and testing of financial applications, including experience and knowledge of Equities, FX, Fixed Income and /or Corporate Actions. Technically you will have a reasonable grasp of SQL and preferably some UNIX / Linux.

This knowledge may have been gained in a bank, fund manager (or other buy-side firm) or a financial software house or consultancy.

With experience of both Manual and automated testing you will be able to demonstrate a track record of defining test plans and test cases, and performing test execution, with QTP (frameworks, more than record & playback) being an advantage. This is as much a communication role as it is about process and you must be comfortable talking to people at all levels throughout the business and IT, in the UK and other financial centres around the globe.
