Successful and rapidly expanding financial institution is looking add a new member to its London based QA and Tester team who are responsible for the QA, Performance Testing and Automated Testing of a range of banking and finance applications covering Equities, Funds, Corporate Actions and Fixed Income / Bonds. With a considerable number of new projects planned there is the opportunity to build upon both Business and Technical skills in a positive, friendly environment.
The QA and Testing team is responsible for many functions including;
They are looking for an experienced QA Tester with a strong background in building a QTP Framework from the ground up within a demanding business area. You will be involved in the QA and testing of financial applications so experience and knowledge of Equities, FX, Fixed Income and /or Corporate Actions would be very useful. Technically you will have a reasonable grasp of SQL and preferably some UNIX / Linux as well as scripting (Python, Bash, VBScript etc). This knowledge may have been gained in a bank, fund manager (or other buy-side firm) or a financial software house or consultancy.
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of defining test plans and test cases, and performing test execution, with QC & QTP (frameworks, more than record & playback) being an advantage. This is as much a communication role as it is about process and you must be comfortable talking to people at all levels throughout the business and IT, in the UK and other financial centres around the globe.
