I’m looking for an experienced LINUX expert with experience with Apache / Java / PHP & Windows to work in my clients Data Centre as part of their Technical Support team. You will have a passion for open source and will be able to configure and adapt existing systems and bring them up to industrial strength.

You will need to assist (and take the lead if necessary) in the development of performance monitoring and management server software associated with Data Centres & Web hosting systems. Activities include prototyping, design, development, build, unit-testing, maintenance and documentation.

You will be of Graduate calibre with industry experience and competency in:
* Multiple programming platforms (Java/J2EE, C++)
* Operating systems (Linux, Solaris, AIX, Windows)
* Communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL, DNS)
* OO design techniques, application architectures and design patterns
* Web application development and support in particular PHP and Zope

* Database technologies and transaction processing alongside bulletin board implementation and support (PHPBB, JForum)
* TCP/IP based networking software development
* Network security, content security (BS7799)
* Experience developing software for network appliances, performance management/monitoring products a plus (BigIP, Websense etc)
