Network Administrator, Microsoft Gold Partner

If so we have the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic Network Administrator to join RM, the UK’s market leader in providing IT solutions to education.

In return, we can offer a salary of up to £25,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits and of course training.

RM provides dedicated resource to managing computer networks at educational establishments and the majority of this work is performed remotely by Network Administrators. The Network Administrator takes responsibility for the day to day communication with customers, diagnosing their issues and providing them with a resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Remote management of single and multi-server networks
Carrying out general housekeeping and network management tasks, including daily backups, antivirus checking
Management of issues to resolution for any failures covering software, hardware and infrastructure problems as defined by the service level agreement. This may include third party computers, notebooks and peripherals
Working closely with schools to understand their needs and developing strong customer relationships
Proactive to ensure the service delivery targets for the contract are achieved
Skills Required

Knowledge and experience of supporting Microsoft products, ideally including Windows 2000/2003
Excellent planning and Organisational skills, with the ability to work proactively and effectively with other team members to achieve collective objectives
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Able to demonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with non-technical customers
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
