Rapid-Prototyping Development Engineer
Salary: £15 - £20pph
Location: Basildon, Essex
The company in question designs and develops control system development tools allowing others to develop electronically controlled units (ECUs). They are looking for someone to undertake a Rapid-Prototyping Development Engineer role and this will be a long term contract role.
You will be responsible for designing, developing and validating automotive powertrain control algorithms using rapid prototyping tools across a variety of vehicle programmes.Meeting the needs of an OEM for new feature development, bug fixing and other rapid prototyping activities such as one-off climate trip applications. Working at a customer facility with access to ECUs, HiLs, Dyno’s and Vehicles to implement control algorithms and backed by a globally distributed team.
We are looking for degree educated candidates with experience of automotive calibration or control system development, rapid-prototyping experience and knowledge of any of the following development tools - MATLAB; Simulink; Stateflow or Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder.
Any experience of C, Visual C++ and C# .Net would be beneficial.
Strong communication skills both written and oral are essential as parts of the role will involve client and customer interaction.
