Technical Architect – .NET/Oracle
The Client
My client is an established leading provider in the global financial services sector.
The Role
The client currently has a permanent requirement for an experienced Technical Architect.
The client currently has a number of vendors in the.NET/Oracle environment who carry out the design and implementations of various bespoke solutions. Your role is to work in tandem with these vendors on various projects and to carry out vendors’ reviews. Typically you will be responsible for full lifecycle of the projects from a technical perspective, package/applications selection right through to the testing phase. Therefore as well as being highly technical the ideal candidate will need strong analytical and project management type skills
Role Responsibilities:
·Consult with business clients and account managers on architectural issues
·Define and maintain technical architectures
·Act as the focal point for significant infrastructure and development issues throughout all SDLC phases of projects
·Lead the definition of IT technical solutions
·Ensure quality designs and implementations
·Provide architectural leadership within the IS division
Education and Experience:
·Windows. .net and Oracle. (Business Intelligence preferable.)
·4 years + experience, plus excellent knowledge and actual experience at the enterprise architecture level.
·Enterprise architecture framework knowledge/experience
·Knowledge of IS management processes and the full development life cycle.
You will need excellent processing, communication and facilitation skills, plus strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills are key.
Role to begin ASAP. Based in either Bristol or Potters Bar
