Data support Analyst, 1st line, Graduate, City, London
Excellent new role for a data support analyst you must have exceptional experience in SQL as well and RDBMS. My client is the industry leader in global information business, dedicated to the supply of independent market indices, benchmarks, performance analysis and events and training to the real estate industry. Operating on five continents, we have established services in more than 20 of the world's leading real estate investment markets, with feasibility studies running in several more. There mission is to supply real estate performance analysis to the highest standard - impartially, independently and globally.
This role provides a gifted candidate a rare an excellent opportunity to gain huge business exposure and the opportunity to work with one of the most talented teams in the industry.
The purpose of the role is to undertake 1st line data and database support in line with the business needs. You will work closely with Computing, PAS and Operations teams to resolve data and database support issues.
*Carry out database development work and systems testing.
*Ensure that his/her own work is developed in compliance with prevailing IPD development processes. Where these are not clearly specified, ensure that all work complies with industry standards and best practise.
*Actively facilitate and encourage transfer of skills and knowledge (both technical and business process) to other members of the team.
*Provide training to other development staff as appropriate.
Key skills:
SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, ANSI SQL)
RDBMS (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access)
Database Design, Normalisation & Entity Modelling
Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite
Source Control (Microsoft SourceSafe or other)
Unix
XML & Web Technologies ((X)HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX)
