The Role

This is a key role within Halewood International that will lead and motivate the IT function to deliver high quality IT services to support the growing business.You will provide Senior Managers with Guidance and recommendations on all aspects of IT and business process and ensure that Halewood International has appropriate Information Technology systems making changes to applications or Infrastructure as required.Dealing at board level, you will take the business strategy and work with other business Heads and key focus groups to drive IT forward ensuring improvement proposals are prioritised and implemented.

Key Tasks

  • Responsibility for the procurement and provision of the IT Infrastructure including:
    1.Services.
    2.Desktop Applications.
    3.Local and Wide Area Networks.
    4.IT Security.
    5.Telecommunications.
    6.Disaster Recovery.
  • Review, develop and maintain new systems.
  • Responsibility for agreed IT Capital and Revenue budgets.
  • Manage the IT Department including appraisals, discipline, salary reviews, career development and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain a cross functional team of SAP business Super Users who will become their own department champions and first point of call regarding IT/SAP issues.
  • Develop and improve a wider business process understanding and awareness across the whole operation.
  • Deliver against agreed performance targets in line with the companies short and long term strategic plans
  • Manage the governance of IT related business change projects.
  • Work with key external SAP Solution Partners on projects.

The Applicant

  • You will already have a proven track record in managing successful IT departments within a Manufacturing/Logistics environment and have experience of the full SAP suite.
  • You will have experience of Project Management and have the ability to prioritise multiple projects as well as leading change in cross functional business areas empowering the workforce with departmental IT responsibility.
  • You will be a tenacious and resilient individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability motivate others around you.
  • You will encourage personal development, including coaching and mentoring where relevant and be natural leader.
