An IT Support Engineer is required for a busy Cosmetic manufacturer and retailer based in London.
The role is ideal for an ambitious, focused team player who wishes to grow within our company. The role is varied and will encompass in-house help desk support providing remote and on-site support to our stores and head office.
You will need to be an experienced technical engineer or graduate IT with hands on fault diagnosis and installations skills, strong working knowledge of server hardware, assembly and infrastructure. Networking experience, including troubleshooting of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS and VPN are required. Excellent communications skills both written and verbal is essential.
Technical skills required:
Experience in Microsoft Exchange Essential.
- MS Windows Server 2000/2003/SBS2003
- MS Exchange 2000/2003
- DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, RRAS, VPN
- MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista
- MS Office Suites
- Routing and Firewall configuration ·PC/Laptops architecture
- Ethernet LAN/WAN technologies
Responsibilities include:
- Provide IT server / networking support (e.g. email, file serving, VPN etc)
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for hardware and software requirements.
- Maintaining and setting up peripherals (printers, scanners etc)
- Stock control & report generatio
- Report preparatio
- A clean UK driving license is essential
- Living within the M25 would be seen as useful but not essential.
