World class global software organisation specialising in Financial Application Software is seeking to strengthen its UK operations team with additional Implementation Engineers to work with client customers in implementing and deploying bespoke and packaged software applications.
MAIN TASKS:
- Assist customers in the implementation, deployment and customising of company software applications
- Configure and implement applications for clients
- Assist with the development of proposals
- Support business development activities
- Work with Professional Services community via knowledge sharing, best practice documentation and training.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience, part of which should include implementing packaged applications, preferably in the financial services or operational risk domain.
- A minimum of 1 year of commercial programming experience in XML and Java, ideally using OO concepts.
- Deep technical understanding of Web Applications, Oracle database, and J2EE Application Server technology, including JSPs, Servlets and IBM WebSphere/BEA WebLogic.
- Familiarity in working within a structured project delivery and change management methodology
- Ability to facilitate and perform application and technical environment planning discussions
- Excellent oral and written communications, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence
DESIRABLE (not essential) SKILLS:
- At least 1 or more years technical leadership experience
- Familiarity/Experience in the Financial Services Industry, Business.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences
