Job Summary:
An IT Manager/Network Administrator is required to join a leading event production company, Fisher Productions Ltd. This expansive role involves everything from server maintenance and network security to the day-to-day user support issues. The company is primarily a Microsoft environment with around 50 users at the London office. The I.T. Manager is also responsible for all I.T. purchasing, documentation and reports to the company’s directors. Additionally, as I.T. Manager, you will have to the opportunity to take the reins and direct your own database development project aimed at improving and optimising business services at Fisher Productions Ltd.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has proven experience and excellent knowledge in the following areas:
- Windows SBS 2003 / Vista / XP
- Active Directory user and data management.
- Microsoft Exchange
- Database management and specification (MSAccess, MSSQL)
- Veritas backup software
- Network security and protocols (including VPN’s)
- Hardware installation/upgrades/maintenance
- Network and Telecommunications patching/cabling
- User support and troubleshooting
Candidates with the following skills will have a distinct advantage:
CISCO IOS knowledge (PIX 500 series)
HTML / PHP / MySQL / web design
Linux (CARP, iptables, Nagios a definite advantage)
Windows Mobile devices (phones and PDA’s)
CCTV
