Siemens IT Solutions and Services are looking for a Technical Network Specialist to work within the Technical Integration team. This role will involve:
?Implementing LAN/WAN solutions for multiple customers using switches, routers and firewalls from multiple vendors including Foundry, Cisco and Nokia Checkpoint.
?Working with the team and the project manager to ensure that the design is ratified, implemented and handed over to the support teams.
?Identify ways of improving productivity and lowering costs which provides enhanced service value for accounts and business areas
?Service Development - Train and educate customers and colleagues in the services that the TIG can provide.
?Ensure that a TIG performance review is conducted by the project manager. Operational Services - In accordance with original and agreed scope of work/mandate provide technical implementation services to project manager/matrix.
We are looking for demonstrable experience of:
?Delivering LAN/WAN solutions using multiple vendors (Cisco/Foundry/Nortel/Nokia/Juniper)
?CCNP/FNCNP qualification. - Proven experience of delivering technical solutions using various routing protocols and LAN/WAN technologies including - OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, RSTP, VLANs, ACLs, VoIP, QoS, VPNs
?Understanding of LAN/WAN design principles
?An understanding of ITIL Service Support and Delivery disciplines and methodologies
?Current project delivery experience - Experience of using Prince2 or similar methodology Experience of working on the design and implementation stages of a technical project dealing directly with end customers.
