C# / ASP.NET Senior Developer - C# / ASP. NET / SQL Server. RM is a Microsoft Gold Partner and has been voted one of the top places to work in IT in 2008 by Computer Weekly. We are seeking talented Senior C# / ASP.NET / SQL Server Developers to join us in the full lifecycle development of ground-breaking and technically complex solutions. The scope of our development projects is vast and hence you can expect a truly varied role, working on C# / .NET based development projects such as cutting edge eCommerce websites, large scale financial systems or our latest SharePoint solutions. You’ll be working with the .NET 3.0 Platform, using a varied range of technologies including C# / ASP.NET / XML / XSLT / SQL Server, SharePoint and PerformancePoint. Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with RM’s customers to understand the business requirements and designing technical solution which best meet these.
  • Managing development projects from design to implementation, planning and organising your workload or your teams’ workload to support project delivery.
  • Hands-on development on varied and stimulating projects, typically using the Microsoft .NET 3.0 platform, with opportunities to work with a variety of technologies such as SharePoint and MS PerformancePoint.
  • Working proactively to ensure that the team continues to deliver cutting edge solutions whilst maintaining best practice, and contributing to process improvement within the department.

The individual:

  • Of graduate calibre, with a strong background in full-lifecycle software development, from systems analysis and design through to development, testing and implementation. Any experience of formal methodologies would be advantageous.
  • Experience of developing on the .NET platform using C# / ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server. RM is happy to cross train candidates with a background in VB.NET across to C#.
  • Formal Microsoft qualifications such as MCPs, MCAD, MCSD, MCTS, MCPD or MCA would be advantageous, however RM is happy to support to candidates wishing to gain these certifications.
  • Experience of developing across the full project life cycle, ideally within a structured project management framework.
  • Strong problem solving and team working skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
