The Role:

Blue Fountain is looking for a Senior Developer to join their expanding development team.Working on all aspects of the development life cycle you will act as a technical lead and team leader.You will be experienced in developing Linux based open source applications using a variety of technologies.Blue Fountain is committed to leading the field by utilising the latest open source technologies to deliver 24/7 business critical systems that are used by a number of the worlds leading automotive giants.

The Person:

• Experience of developing applications on Linux/Unix based open source applications
• Experience of 2 or more development languages including; PHP, Python, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Java, .Net or C/C++
• Experience of 1 or more of the following:- HTML, CSS, Zope, Plone, Ajax, Apache & Web Standards
• Experience of 1 or more SQL RDBMS; MYSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server & Oracle.
• The ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly
• Excellent analysis skills
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Experience of the full development lifecycle, design, development, testing and implementations
• Understanding of Agile development
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical personnel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail
• Goal orientated and driven
• Technical & Team leadership skills
• Mentoring a team of developer
• Ability to engender trust in others

The role is based in Liverpool in Merseyside with excellent communication links from the M62.The role is commutable within 1 hour from Manchester, Preston, Lancashire, Warrington, Wigan, ST Helens, Chester, The Wirral & Cheshire.
