Team Leader – Building Schools for the Future (Leeds) Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 p.a. + Car + Bon + excellent benefits A fantastic opportunity has been created within RM for a Team Leader working on one of RM's key programs within education sector in the fast-growth BSF school implementation area of RM, the UK's 'Top IT Employer'. Building Schools for the future (BSF) is the Government's multi-£bn educational transformation initiative which aims to rebuild or refurbish every secondary school in England over the next 10+ years. The Leeds BSF Project will deliver a full Managed Service to a number of Secondary Schools in the Leeds area. The successful candidate will be managing school-based technical support staff across four schools to include staff development and performance management. In addition to that you will co-ordinate and control all day to day service delivery activities ensuring contractual compliance. You will visit school sites regularly to audit service delivery activity and co-ordinate technical escalations and provide reports whilst overseeing technical change requests and implementation. The successful candidate will be a capable people manager and have significant experience of day to day management of a multi disciplined team of IT professionals delivering service in an SLA driven managed service environment. The incumbent will ideally have experience of delivering IT managed service support in an educational environment. Experience of maintaining and supporting multi-server networks - Windows Server 2003 and Vista, email solutions - Exchange and Outlook, and Internet / Intranet technologies are essential, along with good working knowledge of networks, including installation, trouble shooting and issue resolution and will be working with RM Learning Platform solutions. You will demonstrate excellent problem solving and reporting skills with superb customer handling and inter-personal skills. Decision-making and judgement skills are essential in order to be able to assess and report on team member performance, along with excellent planning and improvement focus.
