Trouble shooting large software applications based on a monolith Solaris integration solution. Responsibilities:
The primary requirement is for proven experience in trouble shooting large software applications and the integration solution based on a Solaris based operating system. The integration solution comprises automated solutions for installing and upgrading the applications on Solaris as well as configuring Solaris to meet the solutions needs. Required skills/experience: This role requires a rich knowledge and experience in finding fault causes and suggesting solutions to Solaris integration issues. The integration solution may range from third party product integration, database configuration to disk or devise configuration etc. . Deep knowledge of Solaris (Sparc & X86)
. Shell Scripting (Korn/Bash)
. Perl
. Solaris Administration (Sol Volume Manager, Sol Live Upgrade)
. Veritas Volume Manager (Preferred but not mandatory)
. Veritas Cluster Server (Preferred but not mandatory)
. Unified Storage Configuration (Preferred but not mandatory)
. The candidate must also display the ability to work with others within a close working team. The candidate will be required to mentor others within the team (both experienced and inexperienced team members) on Solaris Integration solutions and technology.
