Net Developer Job Purpose Managing 2 .Net developers, to take responsibility for the development, testing, debugging, ongoing maintenance, support and documentation of Findel Education’s .Net e-commerce websites. Key Outputs Leading 2 ASP .Net Developers, the successful candidate will be required: To work with the Senior Management team, Marketing Department and external agencies to deliver a highly successful e-commerce strategy which from a revenue perspective, delivers true incremental growth To lead and manage all development, testing and debugging completed by the .Net team of developers To take overall technical reasonability for the maintenance and support of all public facing websites To develop, maintain and support the integration of other 3rd party software applications, including credit card payment integration, PAF validation etc To work closely and in conjunction with other areas of software development to ensure integrity and integration between application systems e.g. SAP To manage and lead the personal development of 2 internal .Net Developers To lead, maintain and manage the integrity of all web data To lead, maintain and manage the accuracy of web application documentation To ensure continued PCI compliance of web solutions and associated software applications and business processes To manage key external e-commerce suppliers e.g. hosting company etc Recommend enhancements and improvements to continually improve the overall efficiency and performance of web solutions
Essential Qualifications and Experience ASP.Net v2.0 and above, (v3.5 skills would be desirable to implement the Ajax parts in standard Microsoft controls) C# CSS2 and XHTML Javascript Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2005 General IIS / networking / SSL experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Desired Qualifications and Experience Exposure to ASP Ajax services Exposure to .Net Web Services and XML/SOAP Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services People management (setting targets, objectives, holding appraisals etc) Experience with Content Management Services SagePay Credit card Integration SAP integration through web-services SEO best practices Omniture Site Catalyst OmnitureMerchandising Integration of 3rd party .net controls and services
