Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- PC Build:
-> Manage & Maintain system images (clones for different customers & products):
- Updating images with new releases,
- Updating images to reflect hardware changes (including building new images from base operating systems),
- Ensuring field engineers have up to date images (including supporting the use of the clones).
-> Raise pro-forma notifications, where applicable, for new machines and updates,
-> Build PC's for new machines according to build schedule,
-> Test PC's in kiosks prior to despatch to ensure quality working with the kiosk build team and ensuring tight deadlines are met.
- Deployment,
-> Understand new software when released from development,
-> Prepare software for deployment,
-> Raise Change Requests for software deployments,
-> Deploy software to customers according to deployment plans.
Job Requirements
Essential:
- PC Hardware, particularly fault finding,
- Windows XP & 7 installation experience (including batch files & scripting),
- Basic Networking (joining domains, DNS),
- Good communication skills.
Desired:
- Basic SQL knowledge,
- Windows PE (including ImageX & Windows Automated Installation Kit),
- Delivery focused.
