The Richmond Group values the importance of outstanding data quality when it comes to serving its customers and delivering industry-leading analytics. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Database Developer to deliver high quality database design and associated coding (T-SQL), while pro-actively optimising existing database performance.
Playing an active part in the development of the business and working alongside both developers and analysts, they will be responsible for ensuring that data quality, integrity, and consistency is maintained throughout the development life-cycle to an exceptional standard.
What we’ll ask you to do:
- Developing database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server 2005/08.
- Preserving and transforming legacy databases and historic data.
- Requirements analysis and specification.
- Working closely with business partners, analysts and end-users.
- Problem solving and every day support.
- Documenting databases and associated business knowledge.
We’re looking for you to have:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/08 and Relational Database design principals.
- Experience building and maintaining medium-sized high availability databases, especially those related to online financial services.
We think you’ll need but not essential:
- Experience of Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services
- Experience of OLTP, cubes, data warehouses
- Building extensions using CLR.
