Our Client, an award winning Financial Services and Investment Company, seeks a Software Engineer to join their Global English- speaking Headquarters in Limassol, Cyprus. Cyprus is an EU Country and as such EU Nationals will not require a work permit.
The successful candidate will join a team developing and managing the firm's complex & high frequency trading system. He/she will also be involved in maintaining and operating the in-house electronic analysis and trading systems in after hour's rotation. The role will involve close communication with traders, brokers and project management work.
The ideal candidate will have excellent all round computing skills, mathematical ability, as well as project experience in meeting deadlines coupled with, preferably, an exposure to the finance industry.
The key responsibilities of this role will be:
To further develop & support the company's geographically distributed electronic trading platform.
To join the team in charge of the daily setting up, running, monitoring and troubleshooting the trading system which operates 24 hours a day and which trades equities futures and spot FX in Asia, Europe and the North America.
To understand complex trading processes and systems and to help the ongoing development of control parameters, to ensure reliability, consistency, process quality and control.
To be involved in the complete development cycle.
You will have:
Degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field or equivalent qualification
Strong working knowledge of .NET ( C# / VB.NET ), distribution and SQL.
Able to work well under pressure and have proactive approach to implementing enhancements and process improvements whilst maintaining precision.
Drive to learn and work well in a team as well as taking ownership on sub-projects.
The following skills will be an advantage:
Knowledge of Reuters, Bloomberg and other data suppliers
A good understanding of financial products and markets
Knowledge of FIX protocol
Experience within a high frequency trade support environment
Working knowledge C++/Java and Matlab or other mathematical modelling software.
