Actuarial - MoSes Specialst x 2 - Hampshire - 6 Months
Location: Hampshire   
Salary: £600 per day

The jobholder will support the development and implementation of economic capital models to meet the revised capital adequacy standards for European insurers (Solvency II).

Tasks include:

- Enhance the actuarial calculation engine to model capital requirements for all risk classes (insurance, credit, market and
operational)
- Statistical analysis to derive distributions of risk factors
- Analyse and improve data quality
- Develop model validation techniques such as sensitivity analysis and scenario testing.
- Support changes to business processes to ensure models are embedded and satisfy the "use-test"
- Draft and review model documentation


Special requirements:

- Part-qualified actuary or other quantitative qualification
- Experience in development of financial models in the Life Insurance industry
- Experience in application of risk modelling techniques such as dependency modelling, estimation of risk distributions and stress/scenario testing
- Excellent knowledge of an actuarial projection system (MoSes strongly
preferred)
- Advanced user of Excel including VBA programming
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues.
- High standard of written documentation
- Self motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability
