  • Job type:

We are looking for Oracle Software Developers who are excited by the opportunity to work in all phases of the project lifecycle, liaising directly with a large European client to design, develop and maintain a mission critical enterprise application supporting sales, production, management and logistics.

We are a focused team who prides itself on working with in partnership with our customers to make a real difference to their business.

Technical background
Our applications are built around an Oracle DBMS with a web based front end. Ideally you should have full life cycle experience, a comprehensive knowledge of Oracle and current expertise of programming in our 'core languages' - PL/SQL, SQL, HTML, Javascript, and XML.

We are especially interested in applications from Software Engineers who can combine our core skills with experience of system architectures and design, along with a broader range of technical experience. A professional certification such as Oracle Certified Associate / Professional/ Master would be a definite advantage.

Since we develop mission-critical software for a production environment, 24x7 software reliability is a pre-requisite and so a keen attention to detail is essential to make sure that we deliver quality software that works first time, every time.

Communications skills
Our team is in daily contact with customers, both by e-mail and telephone and so effective, articulate verbal and written communication skills are essential.

The role involves occasional international travel (typically three or four, week-long trips a year to sites in Europe), so it is important that you can present yourself in an engaging and co-operative manner, convey a sense of enthusiasm and establish a rapport.

We are only a one-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station / Metro and close to all main bus routes. A great position for convenient commuting from around the North East, and perfectly located to take advantage of city-centre life. Cerres has an informal style, and we encourage flexible working and a work-life balance.

Up to £ 50,000 depending on experience.
