Head of IT - Retail, Warehouse/Logistics

Count Durham - £65,000

A parts and accessories distribution company is looking to add a Head of IT to it's expanding workforce. Heading up a small, young, dynamic IT team the role will require you to prove strategic leadership and technical guidance on a range of projects. You will head up a department which has responsibility for an ERP system, a fully customisable off-the-shelf CRM system, a Warehouse Management System, BI reporting suite, B2B and B2C websites and server infrastructure. There is a large emphasis on software development within the organisation, the majority of which is undertaken internally and genuinely cutting edge. The IT team is pivotal in expanding the wider workforce's capabilities and there will be a need for you to convey complex IT concepts and capabilities to non-IT staff. You will also take responsibility for growing the IT team in the future. There is fantastic progression on offer in this position, with a possibility of moving into an IT Director role.

Applications from candidates with online retail, distribution, wholesale or warehouse/logistics background are encouraged. You will ideally have a strong background in the development or delivery of software applications. B2B and B2C wesbsites and the CRM are developed using the .Net Framework and ideally you'll have a good understanding of how these applications are applied within a distribution environment. You must have a proven track record of leading an IT team both from a strategic point of view but also a technical point of view.
