Senior Integration Consultant

As a Senior Integration Consultant, you'll join the Integration Team of the Casino Department.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitation and support of software systems integration with third party software
  • suppliers
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of integrated software systems
  • Application deployment and configuration
  • Software Integration and test environment configuration and maintenance
  • Liaison with and support of third party software suppliers, testers and internal
  • development teams
  • Identification of areas for process improvement, solutions proposal and implementation
  • Task automation
  • Go-live and warranty support for production roll-outs
  • Support team lead in day-to-day task prioritisation and management

The candidate must have

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to establish confidence, rapport and foster co-operative relationships with clients, suppliers and co-workers. Comfortable initiating regular client contact
  • Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
  • Willingness to learn new technologies on the job

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Able to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions and pro-actively drive them to completion

Operating Systems

  • Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS

Networks/Servers

  • Good understanding of internet protocols and standards (TCP/IP/URI/HTTP/SSL/SSH)
  • Good knowledge of fundamental networking concepts
  • Experience in application and server log analysis
  • Basic web-server and application-server configuration and maintenance skills

Programming Languages and Tools

  • Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming principles
  • Good understanding of enterprise software architecture (J2EE)
  • Hands-on knowledge of shell-scripting on Linux/Unix OS
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/JavaScript/CSS
  • Strong knowledge of code management tools (Subversion, CVS)
  • Familiarity with J2SE and J2EE
  • Strong knowledge of a scripting language (Tcl/Tk, Perl, PHP or Python)

Databases

  • Good understanding of RDBMS concepts
  • Experience in high volume OLTP
  • Experience in working on high volume production environments
  • Experience in using SQL query plans and SQL query optimisation
  • Strong knowledge of SQL query language

Methodologies

  • Programming background, with proven experience in change and configuration management
  • Good understanding of all stages of software life-cycle, especially integration support, testing and deployment
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of code management
  • Application Build and Deployment
  • Familiarity using continuous Integration tools (Cruise Control, Jenkins)
  • Familiarity using software build tools (Ant, Maven)

The ideal candidate would also have

Networks/Servers

  • Experience in production level deployment, configuration and maintenance of Apache
  • Experience in production level deployment, configuration and maintenance of Java Servlet containers (Tomcat)

Programming Languages and Tools

  • Familiarity with Flash, Flex and ActionScript
  • Hands-on knowledge of Tcl/Tk and/or Perl

Databases

  • Working experience of Informix and/or Oracle
