Job: Graduate or Junior Software Developer - C# / SQL Server
Location: Colchester, Essex
My client are an established provider of managed services to a UK-wide client base and operate as one of the leading players in their industry. To compliment their existing development team, we are looking for a junior software engineer who has either recently graduated with a BSc in Computer Science (or similar) or has 1-2 years experience.
This position will give you exposure to major internal projects - my client is redesigning many of their internal applications and will be utilising some of the latest Microsoft Technologies including C#.NET, SQL Server, TSQL, Visual Studio, VB.NET.
You will have a passion for technology and excellent communication skills - this is a hands on role where the work will begin from day 1 and will include full involvement on the full SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle). Any exposure (academically or professional) to database integration, design or development will be a big plus, alongside MI Analysis or working with MI Systems (management information systems).
This is a long-term permanent position and will suit someone who is interested in training, progression and a career within a successful large organisation.
Essential Skills
- BSc Computer Science (or similar)
- C#.NET, VB.NET or ASP
- SQL Server and/or T-SQL
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- 1-2 years experience
- Exposure to MI Systems or MI Analysis
