ROLE: Tester, Test Analyst, Test engineer, Software Tester Testing - functional, non-functional system, exploratory, regression, performance/load/stress testing.
LOCATION: Pill. Commutable by car Bristol, Newport, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Shepton Mallet.
REMUNERATION (for Software Tester): Excellent market rate + bonus + private medical + private health + life assurance + 26 days holiday + other benefits.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
* A proven, demonstrable background in software testing - executing both functional and non-functional testing of software solutions.
* Commercial experience in the full testing lifecycle from test planning and specification through to execution and defect management.
* An adaptable approach with the ability to prioritise and repriritise work loads as required.
* Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
* First class communication skills.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL:
* Experience/knowledge of SQL, SQL Plus, PL/SQL and/or Oracle databases.
* Previous experience within a software house environment.
THE ROLE:
As an integral member of the test team, you will:
* Work on all stages of the software testing lifecycle. This will include working closely with the development team to agree system test specifications, test planning, production and execution of the test scripts (for both functional and non-functional testing) and defect management.
* Maintain regular reporting on the progress of projects/testing status.
* Take responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the test environments, data and other test artefacts.
* Take a proactive approach by indentifying, recommending and where appropriate implementing improvements to the test processes/procedures.
