Computer People are currently recruiting for a truly once in a lifetime IT Project Manager role for a global IT Outsourcing / Services Company to work on the most exciting IT Project the UK has ever seen, The London '12 Games!
This role will be based at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, however you will need to be flexible to undergo 2 months training in London.
We are looking for an exceptional IT Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major end to end Technical IT Infrastructure projects.
Please note - This is a Fixed Term Contract Position, until Mid-August '12.
Based in Cardiff, you will manage a full lifecycle Technical IT Infrastructure project, which will be one of the most high profile and high demanding environments, where your responsibilities will include;
* Planning and Implementation of high profile projects and sites
* Managing the timely delivery of projects to high levels of quality with attention to cost control.
* Providing leadership to internal project teams & clients.
* Management of 3rd party suppliers and off shore teams
* Management of Risks, Issues, Governance and Dependences for all projects
* Ongoing Site Management
The successful Project Manager is likely to have a client facing background and to be suitable for this Project Management role, you will be comfortable working in an environment where leading-edge technologies are being planned, specified, designed, deployed and supported.
You will have managed project budgets, and have excellent risk, change and governance skills and experience, working to Prince2 methodologies (or other formal project methodologies).
This role is a fixed term contract until the end of the event. As a full time employee you can expect a generous pro-rata salary, 25 days (pro-rata) holiday and private healthcare for the duration of the contract, there's even the possibility of a completion bonus!
