What the role involves

Our Modelling and Analytics team lead in influencing and driving our insight about consumers, customers and their behaviour.Their insight has developed our strategy and in delivering analytical intelligence to the business that delivers thousands of new customers to RIAS and Castle Cover each month and in retaining our existing customers.Their hard work has helped us to become the 2nd biggest home insurer in the over-50s market, with over a million customers.

In this new role, we’re building on this success by further developing our strategy across both consumer brands.You’ll get the chance to directly influence our business growth as you work to integrate customer intelligence as a natural part of our decision-making process. Using the latest software tools, you’ll create a range of proactive and meaningful automatic customer processes and reports that are easy to use.Just some of the type of reports you’ll produce will look at customer profiling, identifying new and changing consumer trends; and monitoring and evolving segmentation and proposition development insights. You’ll also be providing MI that drives and supports ongoing business change and working with market and customer research.

What we’ll need from you

To be passionate about data and marketing database analysis; in particular how data can be used to drive key decision making in customer management.You’ll ideally have experience within the financial services arena but this isn’t mandatory, as we believe a passion for data combined with a relevant numerate degree and proven expertise in your field can be invaluable.We’ll look for you bring expertise in and have a track record of identifying and using correct analytical techniques such as data modelling, mining and segmentation.

Some of the essential experience you’ll need to bring will be in the tool set, such as using Microsoft Excel, ideally up to advanced level and hands-on experience of manipulating customer databases using SQL Server and either SAS or SPSS.It’s also essential that you have a wealth of experience in using Generalised Linear Regression and / or customer segmentation techniques. There is a lot to bring and we have a lot to offer because we’ll allow your highly commercial approach to influence and our drive change.
