Applicants must be able to demonstrate on application that they have server experience in the support of MS Windows and/or Unix based server estates and a knowledge of Database administration, to include those skills listed as 'mandatory'.
The ability to demonstrate experience in the skills listed as 'useful' and 'on the job' would be advantageous. The role requires a self-motivated person, with strong inter-personal skills, who is able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
The role may, on occasion, require the person to work outside of their own skill set by being able to accurately follow specific technical instruction from colleagues or documentation/plans.
The role is mainly database support but will also include project implementation. It should be noted that the post will involve participation in on-call and Duty Manager rota's. Successful Applicants will be required to pass appropriate Security Clearances.
