Applicants will be expected to deliver a range of technical leadership services including customer interface, infrastructure design (high/low level), and technical specification and pricing services through to the implementation of complex infrastructure solutions within the Virtualisation / Storage area.
The role requires a self-motivated person, with strong inter-personal skills, who is able to communicate effectively with people at all levels. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have prior experience in the area of enterprise infrastructure design. Assignments may, on occasion, require the person to work outside of their own skill set by being able to accurately follow specific technical instruction from colleagues or documentation plans.It should be noted that the post will involve delivering designs across a range of Customers and will require travel to other Fujitsu locations and may require overtime working at short notice (both evenings and weekends).
Successful Applicants will be required to pass appropriate Security Clearances.
In-depth knowledge and experience of at least one of the following technologies:
- VMware 3.5 and/or vSphere.Microsoft -Hyper-V and Virtual Server.
- Citrix - XenServer / XenDesktop / Xenapp.Microsoft – Terminal Services 2003 and/or 2008.
The Candidate is expected to have a good generalist knowledge and experience of architecting various technology solutions that also include storage, backup and networks components.
Storage & Backup Technologies (EMC, Netapps, Symantec).Oracle / SQL Database Administration, Design or SupportDR/contingency planning expertise.Incident / Problem / Change Management. Service Delivery within ITIL Framework.
