Financial Modeller / SQL / Finance / ACCA / CIMA
Financial Modeller - a tier 1 investment bank are currently looking for a technically strong Financial Modeller to come on board a range of high profile technology projects. Strong SQL experience is key as well is a background in finance/accounting. Analytic skills are key, combined with the ability to synthesize a business question, produce analysis and draw sensible insights.
Some finance background / knowledge would be useful. The team is not based within the Finance function, rather we are focused upon customer profit data and insights. Much of the data used is modelled by another, more technical team.
The ideal Financial Modeller will be involved in supporting other insight teams in the deployment of profit data. The ability to act as a consultant to other analytically minded colleagues, assisting them in the effective usage of profit metrics is important - this is unlikely to be a role for someone who is only comfortable sitting at a computer.
