Opportunity to join a
software house focused on providing Asset Management software to large
customers including fire services and logistics companies.This position is a senior role reporting to the
Development manager.
This role requires
good Sybase Power Builder skills, any candidate will be expected to make an
impact very quickly. Miquest develops
Windows and Windows Mobile applications using Power builder. This role will assume responsibility for this
development.
Job Responsibilities
- Development of existing complex Power builder application
- Specification and implementation of new functionality within Power Builder
- Support of existing applications and will be expected to recommend
directions to address any issues outstanding to the benefit of the customers.
Required Skills
- Expert skills in Power builder 8 – 11.5.
- Good SQL server 2005-2008 skills understanding of database best practice
including use of Stored Procedures and functions.
- Sybase Enterprise server / SQL Anywhere
Ideal Skills but not
essential
This role offers the
candidate the opportunity to move into .NET development for both web and
windows application over time.This is a
senior position and you will be required to demonstrate Power builder experience.
