About Sage

Our history
In 1981, Sage was established, and over the last 23 years, has developed into the leading supplier of business management software for small to medium-sized businesses in the UK. We floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1989, and entered the FTSE 100 10 years later.

Our commitment
We are focused on investing in new technology and development, and dedicated to British industry. Companies throughout the world make up the portfolio that is the Sage Group; however, we continue to base our headquarters in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Our employees
We look for pride, passion and performance in our employees, and employ over 1200 people at our Newcastle site, with further employees based in our Manchester and Reading offices.

Our customers
We have 4.4 million customers worldwide, over 500,000 of which are in the UK alone. Customer service is at the heart of what we do, and we aim to build a deep understanding of the needs of all sizes and types of UK business.

Our products
We offer a comprehensive range of software that encompasses accounts, payroll, forecasting, manufacturing, construction, retail, and contact management. This software is used by all types of businesses throughout the UK; from small companies that wish to keep track of all incomings and outgoings, through to large, established companies that want an in-depth piece of software to help manage their business.
